Jane Bonsall is a researcher in medieval English literature, global narrative transmission, and storytelling practice. She completed her undergraduate degree in English Literature and History at Macalester College in Minnesota, and while studying abroad in Edinburgh she fell in love with the city. She received her Masters degree in Medieval Literature at the University of Edinburgh in 2013, followed by her PhD programme, which she completed in 2019, focusing on medieval genre fiction and the power of supernatural women in medieval English literature and society. Jane has taught at the Universities of Birmginham and and St Andrews, and continues to find Edinburgh an inspiring and enthralling backdrop for her study of literature, history, and the power of a compelling narrative.
