About Jakub

Jakub moved to Kraków in 1999 from western Poland to study Sociology at Jagiellonian University. He graduated with a Master of Arts, writing his thesis "Erosion of the National Narrative in Contemporary Guidebooks to Kazimierz." His research explored Polish-Jewish relations, the Sociology of tourism, and the evolving concept of national identity. He also completed a city guide course at PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) and passed the state exam to become a licensed city guide in Kraków. Since then, he has worked as a guide in Kraków, specializing in topics related to the city's Jewish history. In his free time, he is a devoted wildlife gardener.
